Introduction of Department of Samhita & Siddhant and Sanskrit.

The Department of Samhita & Siddhant and Sanskrit is also known as Department of  basic principles This department explores the basic concepts of Ayurveda on  which whole syllabus of Ayurveda is designed. It is called as basic department because all the concepts dealing with  medicinal dravyas  & treatment or Chikitsa  along with preventive measures are delt here.

Our department faculty deal with 5 Subjects related to all the 3 phase of UG.  Curriculum namely

1)  Padartha Vignayana

2)  Samhita Adhyayana-I

3) Sanskrit in   first phase

4) Samhita Adhyayana II in second phase

 5) samhita Adhyayana III in Third phase.

Our department is supported by huge number of books with many popular  commentaries, charts for quick glance and Models for the help of students.

Regular orientation programs were conducted for new scholars to understand & get familiar with terminologies of Ayurveda  and even spoken  Sanskrit classes are also conducted.

Department of PG Studies in   Samhita & Siddhant and Sanskrit is in existence since 2002 which offers Specialization in studying basic concept delt in Bhrahatrayees (Great trio) which are Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita & Astanga Hrudaya by Vagbhata. & also Laghutriyee   namely Bhavapraksha  Sharangadhara Samhitha  Madhava nidana.

With total capacity of 7 Seats per year

Our department is contributing in publishing many valuable, dissertation journals, Research articles every year with that many Free medical camps are organized every year dealing with  many burning issues.

To enhance the Knowledge of our PG scholars departmental activities such as Seminars, Group discussions, case discussions, journal article presentations are conducted with the help of AV technology our scholars conduct many free medical camp along with regular clinical postings to excellence in their knowledge

To give  high quality education to the scholars introduce new   teaching methodology  and  to develop skill is the scholars so that our future Lecturers  should be able to convey the  traditional & holistic knowledge to the budding Vaidya’s
