The Department of Rachana Sharir is a fundamental department of Ayurveda that deals with the structural anatomy of the human body. The term Rachana means structure or formation, and Sharir means body. This department focuses on the detailed study of human body structures as described in classical Ayurvedic texts, along with their correlation to modern anatomy.

It forms the foundation for clinical subjects and is essential for proper diagnosis, surgical procedures, and therapeutic practices.
