Event Summary:

We celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and dedication. Our event aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. The celebration included:

– Tree Plantation Drive

– Cleanliness Drive

Highlights:

-Around 20 species  were planted across the campus

-70 participants in the cleanliness drive.

Conclusion:

Our World Environment Day celebration was a huge success. We are proud to have taken a step towards making our campus more eco-friendly. We hope to continue this momentum and inspire others to join us in our mission to protect the environment.

To mark the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Dr. BNM Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Bijapur, enthusiastically celebrated the event under the global theme “Ending Plastic Pollution Globally” on 5th June 2025. The programme was meticulously organized by the Department of Dravyaguna under the leadership of Dr. Shirin M, Professor and Head of the Department, and Dr. Iranna Sajjan, Associate Professor.

Programme Highlights:

The celebration was aimed at raising awareness about the impact of plastic pollution on the environment and promoting sustainable practices. The following key activities were conducted as part of the event:

Cleanliness Drive:
Students and faculty actively participated in a campus-wide cleanliness drive. The focus was on removing plastic waste and promoting a clean and green environment within and around the college premises.

Plantation Drive:A plantation programme was organized where medicinal and indigenous plant saplings were planted across the campus. This initiative reinforced the Ayurvedic principles of living in harmony with nature.

Plastic Pollution Reduction Campaign:
An awareness campaign was launched to educate students and the local community about the harmful effects of single-use plastics. Posters, slogans, and interactive sessions were used to encourage plastic-free habits.

Outcome:

The celebration successfully instilled environmental consciousness among the participants. The active involvement of students and staff reflected their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. The programme concluded with a pledge to reduce plastic usage and promote eco-friendly alternatives in daily life.

Blood Donation Awareness Camp Report 16 June 2025

Blood Donation Awareness Camp Report
On June 16, 2025, Dr. BNM Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital & PG Research Centre in Vijayapur organized a successful blood donation awareness camp. Dr. Sharanabasappa Awarasangh initiated the program and donated blood, inspiring others to participate.

Key Highlights:
1. Blood Donation Drive: Students and staff actively participated in the blood donation drive.
2. Awareness Program: The event educated participants about the importance of blood donation and its life-saving impact.

On the eve of International Yoga Day, a Yoga Rally was successfully conducted on 19th June 2025 at 8:00 AM. The event was organized by the District Authorities with the aim of spreading awareness about the significance of yoga in daily life for overall well-being.

All Teaching Staff, Intern’s , UG and PG Students of Dr. B.N.M. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Vijayapur, actively participated in the rally with great enthusiasm and discipline. The event served as a symbol of collective commitment towards physical, mental, and spiritual health through yoga.

Rally Route Map:

The participants moved along the designated route while chanting yoga slogans and carrying informative placards emphasizing the benefits of yoga. The energy and spirit of the rally created a strong message in the community about the role of yoga in a healthy lifestyle.

At the DC Office, the Principal of the college, Dr. P. R. Vastrad Sir, delivered an insightful awareness talk on the importance of yoga and its beneficial impact on improving overall health and well-being. His talk motivated the attendees to embrace yoga as a part of their daily routine and emphasized its preventive and therapeutic value.

The entire rally was well-coordinated under the guidance and support of the college administration, teaching faculty, and district officials. It concluded successfully with a positive response and commitment to continue promoting yoga for a healthier society.

International Yoga Day 2025

Yoga day Report:

International day of yoga is celebrated every year on June 21st to create an awareness about the ancient practice of the science which is helpful to maintain the physical, psychological and spiritual lifestyle of an individual. The event was attended by the Department of swasthavritta, and all the principals and faculty members of BNME Trusts. The Event began with welcoming the guests and pouring water to plants, followed the speech on importance of yoga in daily practice by our Chief guests, Poojya Shri Ishaprasad Swamiji, Gurudeva Ashram Atharga and our beloved chairman Dr K B Nagur sir, Dr RS Kadkol madam Dean, Dr Basabaraj Bhinge Administrator, Dr Suresh loni, were presented the token of love, and started the Protocol of practice by Dr VENKATESH ILLAL Associate professor of swasthavritta department and with students by warmup exercise and Asanas,kapalabhati, pranayama, dhyana, sankalpa, and HOD of Swasthavritta department Dr KB Nagur sir and swamiji performed the advance Asanas like Shirshyasana, mayurasana and vrukshasana with at most enthusiasm, and Dr Ashwini Hosamani hosted the program and Dr Manjula Patil ended the program with vote of thanks.

Dr. BNM Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Vijayapura, proudly celebrated National Doctors Day, in the dedication, compassion and care of doctors who serve selflessly. This event was aimed to pay a tribute to doctors and healthcare workers and their contribution to society.

Program Highlights:

  1. Inauguration: The celebration began with the inauguration ceremony, where Chief Guest wasDr. Shakuntala. U. P. professor and HOD department of Agada Tantra, Dean Dr. R.S. Kadkol and Principal Dr. Prasad Vastrad.
  2. Speeches:Dr. Shakuntala. U. P.delivered inspiring speeches on National Doctors Day and qualities of doctors. Dr. Chetan. M. Malagi. Spoke on Importance of Doctors Day celebration. Principal Dr. Prasad Vastrad, highlighted the Dr. B.C. Roy contribution to medical field and national doctors’ day celebration event.
  3. Cake cutting ceremony.

Conclusion:

To make the occasion of National Organ Day 2025, Dr. BNM Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Vijayapur, enthusiastically celebrated the event under the theme “Angadan Jeevan Sanjeevini Abhiyan” on 2nd  August 2025. The programme was meticulously organized by the Department of Rachana Sharir under the leadership of Dr. Manjula K, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, and Dr. Buranuddin Kudachi, Professor.

Dr. Prashant Koppa were judge the student performance and three winners in oral paper presentation and three winners in videographic skit are selected and appreciated with certificate and gifts.

KMF Milk Center – Bhutnal:

Students were introduced to the milk procurement, pasteurization, packaging, and cold storage procedures.

Detailed explanation was given on quality control measures, hygiene standards, and the importance of clean milk production.

Emphasis was laid on how safe dairy practices contribute to overall health and nutrition, a key aspect in Ahara and Swasthavritta.

Water Purification Center – Bhutnal:

The process of raw water intake, filtration, sedimentation, chlorination, and final distribution was demonstrated.

Charaka Jayanti 2025

On the auspicious occasion of Charaka Jayanti 2025, To honor the contributions of Acharya Charaka,A Charaka Jayanti was celebrated on 29/7/2025. The event was Organized by Samhita &Siddhanta Department of Dr. B. N. M. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, P.G. Research Center, Vijayapura. The Principal, Dean, Administrator all teaching staff, P.G. students, U.G. studentswere gathered in Samhita & Siddhanta Department. The celebration began with the showering of flowers over Charaka Maharshi & Saraswati devi. Dhanvantri stavana was chanted by everyone. The speech on charaka Jayanti was delivered by Dr. Suchitra. S. Kalyanshetty Hod &professor of Samhita Siddhanta department.

World Sanskrit Day 2025

On the auspicious occasion of World Sanskrit Day 2025 & Charaka Jayanti 2025, To honor the contributions of Acharya Charaka, Charaka Jayanti Celebration was held on 29/7/2025.The event was Organized by Dept of Samhita &Siddhanta,Dr. B. N. M. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, P.G. Research Center Vijayapura. The Principal, Dean, Administrator,all teaching staff, P.G. students, U.G. students were gathered in Samhita & Siddhanta Department. Dhanvantristavana was chanted by everyone.Followed by lighting the lamp and The Introduction speech was given by Haridas sir regarding the Sanskrit day, followed by a sloka recitation competition was conducted and the winners were awarded. This was followed by the presidential speech delivered by the Principal Dr prasad Vastrad sir. Lastly the program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Meghavati Awati.

All students from instituition have present with patriotic spirit and enthusiastically in the event. 9 students have given a speech on History and importance of Independence day celebration. 8 Students have also shown their patriotism with singing a patriotic songs.

Conclusion

The event concluded successfully, fostering patriotic spirit. The organizing committee thanked all the dignitaries, participants, volunteers, and supporting staff for their valuable contribution in making the event a grand success.

SANKALPA 1.0 – Classics to Clinics

            A two days National Ayurveda conference at Bidar was successfully conducted enriching the ayurvedic classical knowledge in clinical application. Conference main Aim was to globalize and discuss the successive Ayurvedic treatment modalities. Vd. Anant Dharmadhikari explained in detail about the Ayurvedic approach in accurate diagnosis of diseases. Dr. Sourabh Kokatnur discussed the clinical successive stories of Hetu vipareeta chikitsa Siddhanta. Dr. Prashanth A S highlighted the clinical interpretation of Avarana and modern investigation interpretation. Dr. Chandrashekhar Rao briefed the application Ayurvedic formulations. Dr. Vidyasagar Panchal discussed the Rapid Pain management approach in ayurveda. Dr. Rakesh Sharma discussed the non-healing wounds and ulcers cases. Dr. Chandrakumar Deshmukh explained in detail about the application and importance of Viddha and Agni karma. 

 

From our Institute, Totally 11 Poster and 02 oral paper presentationsdone by UG students and 05 Oral paper presentations done by PG Scholars.

Event Outcome

The Conference was beneficial and enhanced the application of the classical treatment protocols in the clinical practice. Certificate had been given to all the participated students, scholars and faculty.

Conclusion

Sankalpa 1.0 – A National AyurvedaConference held at Bidar was successfully completed and all the participated faculty, scholars and students from our institution were enhanced with the clinical application of Ayurveda chikitsa. SHISHIKSHA – Internship Orientation Program

Event:-SHISHIKSHA – Internship Orientation Program (Bench to Bedside)

Date:- 8th to 14th October 2025

Introduction

The Internship Orientation Program – “Shishiksha” was organized at Dr. B.N.M. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Vijayapur, from 8th October to 14th October 2025.

The main objective of this 6-day program was to orient the newly joined interns towards the clinical, academic, administrative, and ethical aspects of their internship. The program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by introducing interns to hospital procedures, documentation, research skills, and patient care responsibilities.

All the faculty members of various departments actively participated and contributed their valuable knowledge through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions.

Program Schedule and Highlights

Day 1 – 8th October 2025

  • The program began with a formal inaugural function attended by the Principal, Dean, faculty members, and newly joined interns. A pre-test was conducted to assess the interns’ baseline understanding of clinical practice and internship regulations.
  • R.S. Kadkol briefed the interns on OPD/IPD documentation related to Kayachikitsa, system-wise case taking, prescription and discharge summary writing.
  • Prashant Koppa explained Panchakarma OPD/IPD documentation, therapy notes, daily observation, and prescription patterns related to Panchakarma procedures.

Day 2 – 9th October 2025

  • Rohin Nagur gave an informative session on NCISM and National Examinations like AIAPGET, NExT, and NTET.
  • Manjula Patil conducted a practical session on Biomedical Waste Disposal, Infection Control, and Patient Safety, with hands-on training in waste segregation, hand washing, gloving, and spill management.
  • S.J. Kurundawade discussed Scientific Presentation Skills and different types of research and review articles.

Day 3 – 10th October 2025

  • Chetan Malagi explained Atyayika Chikitsa (Emergency Management) and emergency care protocols, common drugs, and procedures.
  • Kavya Laxmeshwar detailed the AYUSH Regulatory Bodies and their functioning at national and state levels.
  • Amrutha Kaggod conducted a hands-on session in Shalakya Tantra, including the use of instruments, Kriyakalpa procedures, and subject-specific documentation.

Day 4 – 11th October 2025

  • Bharati Bhiradi delivered a session on Streeroga & Prasuti Tantra, covering labour theatre etiquettes, ANC card maintenance, and management of labour.
  • Chetana Hiremath discussed Shalya Tantra, OPD/IPD notes, OT etiquettes, and surgical management.
  • Chetana Ijeri demonstrated Kshara Sutra, Raktamokshana, Agnikarma, and Kshara Karma techniques.
  • Triveni Devadhar guided interns on Capacity Building and Personality Development — communication, critical thinking, and patient interaction.
  • MeghavatiAwati oriented interns on NABH standards for Ayurveda hospitals.
  • Himabindu explained the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act and medico-legal documentation, followed by team-building activities for interns.

Day 5 – 12th October 2025

  • Ashwini Hosamani Ma’am explained Swasthavritta and Yoga, emphasizing diet planning and therapeutic yoga practices.
  • Shirin. Mcovered Pharmacy and Pharmacovigilance, including safe dispensing and ADR reporting.
  • Veeranna Toravi inspired interns through his session on Entrepreneurial and Career Opportunities in AYUSH.
  • Buranoddin Kudachi explained the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Telemedicine, and e-Sanjeevini platform.

Day 6 – 14th October 2025

  • Ameeruddin Kazi discussed Kaumarabhritya, vaccination schedules, pediatric case documentation, and immunization records.
  • Venkatesh Illalexplained the working of PHC, CHC, and Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries, and various national health programmes.
  • Shivanand Aursang briefed about the Medical Records Department (MRD), record maintenance, consent forms, discharge summaries, and provisional registration procedures.
  • Iranna Sajjan explainedabout Medical Value Travel and AYUSH Visa, and initiatives like Heal in India and Heal by India.
  • Dr Reshma Bicchal briefed about Medico-legal aspects related to clinical practice.
  • Outcome of the Program
  • Interns were familiarized with hospital documentation, clinical ethics, and departmental functioning.
  • Hands-on training improved practical knowledge in key areas like BMW disposal, Kriyakalpa, and emergency management.
  • Awareness regarding NABH standards, medicolegal aspects, and national health schemes was enhanced.
  • Sessions on communication, presentation, and teamwork helped strengthen professional behavior.
  • The program successfully achieved its goal of preparing interns for responsible clinical practice.
  • Conclusion

The Shishiksha – Internship Orientation Program (2025) served as an excellent platform for interns to transition from students to confident clinical practitioners. The active involvement of faculty, interactive teaching methods, and well-structured sessions made the program a great success.
